Governance

Board oversight is separated from executive management and project implementation responsibilities.

Safeguarding

Programmes involving children, youth or vulnerable people require safeguarding standards, consent, reporting and appropriate referrals.

Anti-Fraud & Anti-Corruption

Project resources, procurement, contributions and partner arrangements should be traceable, documented and subject to controls.

Conflicts of Interest

Decision-makers should disclose material interests and recuse themselves where required by governance rules.

Data Protection

Personal data should be collected for legitimate purposes, minimised, protected and handled consistently with applicable Ugandan law.

Project Status Integrity

A concept is not represented as implemented; a target is not represented as an achieved result; a planning budget is labelled as such.

Complaints & Whistleblowing

Concerns should be capable of being raised through institutional channels without requiring contact with the person complained about.
